LeAnn knew he was there somewhere. The dark pressed around her but her breathing stayed even and calm but she could feel her blood beating in her head. Her hand sqeezed into a fist around her gun. She WASN'T going to be scared of the dark like a two-year old. She WASN'T going to imagine she could here light foot-steps drawing closer, closer...Damn! Those were real noises! Where though?

LeAnn smiled softly to herself. Pressing back against the building behind her she crouched down and waited. A minute past and she heard nothing else. Where was he?

Just as she was about to move from her cramped position, she heard a laugh that revererated out of the darkness. Instantly her hands were locked back around her weapon as she tried to point it where the sound had come from. Right there...

"And who might you be?" The soft, smooth, but masculine voice came out from the opposite direction.

What? Was there more then one? No she would have known. Had she misguged the place the laugh had come from? No. She had been sure. Had she-.

"Cat got your tongue, little girl?" The voice came from a position different from the first two.

LeAnn frowned. That wasn't Tim. Not by a long shot. She stayed silent.

The bodyless voice sighed. "Ah. Well. If you don't come to me-" A short pause. "Then I guess I shall have to come to you..." The last word was breathed into her ear.

LeAnn almost jumped to feet and turned to face her left where the word had come from. Nothing was there she realized, and stiffened as hands settled on her shoulders.

"Now." The words were whispered into her ear again. "You get to answer my qustions. You're caught, I have you-It seems I win." He sounded cheerful.

LeAnn then found that her gun was gone and she hadn't felt his hands move from her shoulders. Not good.

"Sooo." Her capture purred still talking into her ear. "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

LeAnn stood still and said nothing, thinking hard, wondering where Tim was and deciding he better get as far away from her as he could because she was going to kill him from getting her in this mess.

To Be Continued...

"Let go of me." LeAnn gritted out. She really didn't like to be without her gun in the dark, some stranger having her in a position where she couldn't kick ass.

"First answer my questions..."

"Go to hell."

He chuckled again but there was a hard threatening quality to it and his hands tightened and even with the small grip she couldn't move.

"My mother said never to talk to strangers," she said trying to find away out of his hold to get her gun back. "I never listened to her but I've decided to give her her due."

"Ahhhh... Isn't that interesting." Suddenly his hands were gone and so was his presence-from behind her. LeAnn could feel him moving around silently on the pitch-black parking lot.

"Do you know Tim? Or you just some sick bastard that wonders around in the dark, stealing people's weapons?"

A chuckle. Damn this dude was getting in her nerves, and his laugh one of the top-ten things she hated about him the most. Right above his voice and under the fact that he might try to kill her.

Poems

Stranger

White walls seem to surround me,
rope seems to keep me bound,
thoughts seem to fill my head,
and I can't utter a sound.
The circumstances that brought me here have no meaning,
no strength.
They are over and maybe,
some time soon this nightmare will be over...

With You

Few words,
shared thoughts,
moments,
serenity,
understanding,
when I'm with you it's...
right.
With others it's crazy,
 hectic,
boring,
but with you...
Things go right,
there are no fights,
I don't know.
Somehow with you
